Simple Image Re-sizing

Like most things, there are probably dozens of ways to do this but the way i personally find easiest is to open the image in PS, click the crop tool and type in the 1024 pix, 768 pix, 72 dpi, criteria into the crop toolbar.

Your crop will then resize as required and you should then save the image to JPEG.
