I have been a member of Hagley Camera Club since June 1984 and I have no particular style or favorite type of subject to specialize in. However, in my time at the club I have been privileged along with my fellow members to be able to have seen some outstanding images taken by club members, visitors to the club and visits to other camera clubs when we either host or go along to other clubs for external competitions.
Club photography is a great way to understand the art of taking a good image and to learn tips and techniques that can improve your images. One of the very best tips I had was ‘unless the sky is an important feature in your image – don’t put it in’.
You will see from my image gallery this is the case. Hagley Camera Club have been a great support to me in my hobby both in competitions and in just taking images for pleasure and can recommend coming along for one of our informal meetings.
